 Here’s a delicious recipe for chicken kababs that you can try at home!

Chicken Kabab Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Marinade:

  • 1 lb (450 g) boneless chicken (thighs or breasts), cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika or chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon garam masala

For Skewering:

  • Bell peppers, cut into chunks
  • Onion, cut into chunks
  • Cherry tomatoes (optional)
  • Wooden or metal skewers (if using wooden, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken:

    • In a large bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, vegetable oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
    • Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for more flavor.
  2. Prepare the Skewers:

    • Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
    • Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, alternating with pieces of bell pepper, onion, and cherry tomatoes if using.
  3. Grill the Kababs:

    • Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
  4. Serve:

    • Remove from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with naan or rice, and your favorite chutney or sauce. Garnish with fresh cilantro and lemon wedges.

Tips:
